Why Brake Repair is Important
If you’ve got squeaky or slow-to-respond brakes, it’s vital to get them checked and repaired immediately. The braking system is one of the most important parts of your car. You need to be able to stop on a dime to avoid accidents and collisions.
When You Should Get Brake Repair
The brake pads and rotors are the two biggest components of your car’s braking system; these should be replaced every 25,000-65,000 miles and 30,000-70,000 miles respectively. However, brakes can wear down over time or malfunction due to several factors, such as how often your drive, terrain, and the type of car you drive. Your brakes may need repairing if you notice anything such as screeching or vibrating noises, fluid leakage, slow stopping, or you have to press the brakes really hard to come to a full stop. Sometimes if the brakes are too sensitive this can also be a sign that something is wrong. If you notice any of these signs, don’t hesitate to schedule service.
The Brake Repair Process
Step 1
Our certified service technicians will listen to your concerns and do a thorough inspection of your vehicle, including checking the brake fluid level.
Step 2
Once they’ve identified the problem, they’ll remove the wheel, bolts, and caliper in order to get to the braking pads and rotors.
Step 3
Then our technicians will install the caliper, check the brake fluid reservoir, and top off your brake fluid.
Step 4:
Install the pads on the caliper and bracket, then slide the caliper back on.
Step 5:
Before handing your vehicle over, they’ll pump the brakes, check the fluid level again, and reinstall the wheel.

Signs of a Quality Brake Repair
After a repair, your brakes shouldn’t be squeaking, vibrating, or slow to respond. There should be no fluid leakage either. If you notice any of these things or other warning signs mentioned above, schedule service immediately.
Caring for Your Vehicle After Brake Repair
To extend the life of your new brakes, care for them by making sure to step on them lightly and not step on them when it’s not necessary–this can wear them down. It’s especially important to not overwork your brakes right after repair because the new rotors and pads can get overheated.
